Description
Swing Tempo
The ratio of the backswing to downswing time; based on studies of professional golfers, a 3 to 1 ratio, or 3.0, is the idea swing tempo. You can achieve the ideal 3.0 tempo regardless of your own swing timings. For example, 0.7/0.23 sec. or 1.2 sec./0.4 sec. both equal a 3.0 tempo.
Swing Speed
The speed of the club head when it strikes the ball.
Club Path
A measurement of your club’s horizontal motion in relationship to the target line when viewed from overhead as it strikes the ball. The swing path determines whether you strike the ball “in-to-out” or “out-to-in.”
Face-to-Target
The angle you open or close the clubface, compared to the target line at the point of impact.
Dynamic Loft
The loft angle of the selected club plus or minus the club offset created by the shaft lean and clubface angle at the point of impact
Share Wirelessly
eTrex 30x lets you share your waypoints, tracks, routes and geocaches wirelessly with other compatible devices. So now your friends also can enjoy your favorite hike or cache – simply press “send” to transfer your information.
Wirelessly connecting to a variety of compatible Garmin devices, including VIRB™ action cameras and ANT+® sensors (including heart rate monitor, bike cadence, tempe™ and foot pod), the eTrex 30x can also read from and write to the chirp™ wireless beacon — or link with your trail buddy’s Oregon®, Montana®, GPSMAP® 64or other ANT+-enabled outdoor navigation devices.
Shaft Angle
The angle between the shaft and the ground as measured from the center of the shaft. This measurement is taken at address and again at impact. Ideally, you want the shaft angle at impact to be close to the same angle it was at address.
Shaft Lean
The forward or backward angle you are holding the club when hitting the ball, measured from a 90-degree vertical angle. This measurement is taken at address and again at impact. The amount of shaft lean at impact affects the loft angle of the club.
